agentmemory-mcp-tools
Map of every agentmemory MCP tool, what each does, and its parameters
by rohitg00Free
Description
Agentmemory-mcp-tools is a map of the agentmemory MCP tools, what each one does and the parameters it takes. It is used when you need to choose which memory tool to call, or when a tool name or argument is unclear. The tools fall into families. Capture tools save memories and compress files, while automatic observations come from hooks or the observe endpoint rather than from an MCP tool. Retrieval tools include a smart search that runs hybrid BM25, vector and graph-expanded search, plus recall, file history, a timeline and visual search. Session and commit tools list sessions and commits and look up a commit. Knowledge and graph tools save and recall lessons, query the graph and manage relations, patterns and crystallized knowledge. Structured slot tools create, append to, read, list, replace and delete slots. Governance and health tools cover deletion, audit, verification, healing and diagnosis. The skill advises using the connected server's own tool list, because a native memory provider may expose a smaller set under different names. A simple save-then-recall pattern is included in the quick start.…

agentmemory-mcp-tools FAQ
What does this skill list?
Every family of agentmemory MCP tools, what each family is for, and the parameters the main tools take.
How do I save and recall a memory?
Use memory_save with content, concepts and files, then memory_smart_search with a query to retrieve it later.
Why might my tool list be different?
A native memory provider may expose a smaller set of tools under different names, so the skill says to check the server's own inventory.
Who is it for?
Developers and agents that call agentmemory through MCP and need to pick the right tool.
How do I install it?
Run npx skills add https://github.com/rohitg00/agentmemory --skill agentmemory-mcp-tools in your terminal.
Is it free?
The listing shows the skill as free.
What security audits has it passed?
skills.sh lists three audits: Gen Agent Trust Hub Fail, Socket Pass and Snyk Pass. A Warn or Fail is worth reading before you install.
What are the best agentmemory-mcp-tools alternatives?
