Description
ce-dhh-rails-style is an agent skill for writing Ruby and Rails code in the style associated with DHH and 37signals. Its core philosophy is that the best code is the code you do not write, and the second best is code that is obviously correct. In practice that means vanilla Rails is usually enough: rich domain models are preferred to service objects, CRUD controllers to custom actions, and concerns are used to share code horizontally. Records are used to represent state instead of boolean columns, the database is used for most things rather than extra infrastructure such as Redis, and solutions are built before reaching for a gem. The skill applies whenever Ruby or Rails code is being written or reviewed. It is useful for teams that want a consistent, opinionated Rails codebase. The skill is part of the compound-engineering plugin by Every and is listed on skills.sh as free.…
