Description
Commit-context traces a file, a function or a line back to the agent session that produced its current commit. It is for questions such as why a piece of code is there, or what the agent was doing when a change was made. The workflow starts with git blame on the line range you name, which gives the commit that last changed it. It then passes that commit's SHA to the memory commit lookup tool, which returns the commit's details and the session linked to it, including how many observations that session recorded. The example in the skill shows a refresh-token change on a line range, the commit it came from, and the linked session titled as a refresh-token rework with fourteen observations. This gives you the reasoning and the steps behind the change, not just the author and date. The skill depends on agentmemory's post-commit hook having linked the commit to a session. It is part of the agentmemory plugin, and it uses the user's own repository and memory store.…
