data-context-extractor is a meta-skill from Anthropic's knowledge-work plugins, listed on skills.sh. It creates a company-specific data analysis skill, or improves one, by drawing out the knowledge that analysts hold informally about the data. It has two modes. Bootstrap mode creates a new data context skill for a company's warehouse, starting with a connection to the database and discovery of its structure. Iteration mode adds domain-specific reference files to an existing skill. The point is to capture the tribal knowledge that makes the data usable, such as which tables are authoritative and how key metrics are defined, so that later analysis follows the company's own conventions.
