dbt-transformation-patterns is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for building analytics pipelines with dbt, the data build tool. It gives production-ready patterns for organizing models into layers, following the medallion-style approach of staging, intermediate and marts models, so each layer has one clear job. It covers testing strategies for the data a project produces, documentation of models and their lineage so people can see where a number came from, and incremental processing, where models only recompute new or changed rows so large datasets stay fast and cheap to refresh. The skill also covers setting up the structure of a dbt project so that new models have an obvious place to go.
