Anti-slop frontend skill for landing pages, portfolios, and redesigns
by nexu-ioFree
Description
design-taste-frontend is an agent skill from the OpenDesign project, described as an anti-slop frontend skill for landing pages, portfolios and redesigns. It is not meant for dashboards, data tables or multi-step product interfaces. Its main rule is that nothing in it fires automatically: every guideline is contextual, so the agent reads the brief first and then pulls only the rules that fit. The skill points out that most language-model design output is weak because the model jumps to a default aesthetic instead of reading the room. Before it touches code, the agent infers what the user wants from several signals. The page kind is one: a landing page for a SaaS product, a consumer product, an agency or an event; a portfolio for a developer, designer or studio; or a redesign, which needs a decision about what to preserve. Vibe words the user has used, such as minimalist, calm, brutalist or editorial, are another. Reference links, screenshots and named products add more. The audience sets the aesthetic, and existing brand assets, such as a logo, colors, type and photography, are starting material for a redesign.…
