Description
Dev is a set of agent skills from Microsoft for maintaining the playwright-cli repository, the command-line tool built around Playwright. It bundles two workflows: one for rolling the Playwright dependency forward to a newer version, and one for preparing a release of the project. The skills are written as markdown instructions that a coding agent reads when a user asks about rolling dependencies, releasing, or other repository maintenance tasks, so the agent follows the repo's own steps instead of guessing them. The skill files live in the repository's .claude/skills folder, and the skill is listed on skills.sh. It is meant for people working on the playwright-cli project itself rather than for general browser automation with Playwright. The skills.sh page shows the results of the security audits run on the skill.…

dev FAQ
What does this skill do?
It gives a coding agent two maintenance workflows for the playwright-cli repository: rolling the Playwright dependency and preparing a release.
When should I use it?
When you are working on the playwright-cli repository and need to roll dependencies, release a new version, or do other repository maintenance.
How do I install it?
Run npx skills add https://github.com/microsoft/playwright-cli --skill dev. The skill is listed on skills.sh.
What are the security audit results?
skills.sh lists three audits: Gen Agent Trust Hub Pass, Socket Pass and Snyk Warn. A Warn or Fail is worth reading before you install.
Where are the instructions?
As markdown files in the repository: roll.md for the dependency workflow and release.md for preparing a release.
Who is it for?
Maintainers of the playwright-cli project. Its steps describe the repo's own process, so they are not general guidance for using Playwright.
