FastAPI best practices covering project structure, Pydantic v2 schemas
by affaan-mFree
Description
fastapi-patterns is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It sets out production practice for FastAPI, covering project layout, Pydantic v2 schemas, dependency injection, async handlers, authentication and authorisation, transactional service methods, and testing. It gives an agent a consistent structure to follow when building a FastAPI service, so new endpoints fit the existing layout and validation is handled by typed schemas. The skill applies when an agent is starting a FastAPI project, adding endpoints or auth, structuring database work inside transactions, or writing tests for an API. Because it is a SKILL.md file of instructions, an AI coding agent loads it only when the task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.…
