golang-samber-ro
Reactive streams and event-driven programming in Golang using samber/ro
by samberFree
Description
golang-samber-ro is an agent skill from the samber cc-skills-golang collection for building reactive streams and event-driven code in Go with the samber/ro library. The library is a ReactiveX implementation with more than 150 type-safe operators, cold and hot observables, and subjects for multicasting events. Its persona is a Go engineer who uses reactive streams when data arrives asynchronously or without end, building declarative pipelines in place of manual goroutine and channel wiring. The same persona knows when a plain slice with the lo library is enough, and says so. The skill's thinking guidance warns that the choice between cold and hot observables, subjects and operators changes behaviour, and that the wrong architecture leads to resource leaks or missed events, so those choices should be reasoned through carefully. It is useful for Go services that process streams of events, such as messages from a queue, sensor readings or user actions, where combining, filtering and throttling the stream is the main work. For a single batch of values in memory, the skill suggests simpler tools. The official references are the library's documentation and repository, and the skill is not exhaustive. It is listed on skills.sh, where the page shows install counts and GitHub stars for the collection. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/samber/cc-skills-golang --skill golang-samber-ro.…
