growth-log
Write growth log entries that extract reusable patterns from completed work
by affaan-mFree
Description
growth-log is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It teaches how to write learning entries that pull a reusable pattern out of completed work, instead of a diary line such as fixed a bug in X. Each entry records the root cause, a transferable rule and a signal that makes the pattern recognisable next time. The skill sets three rules, the first being that failures teach more than achievements. It works with any note system, including Markdown files, Notion, Obsidian or plain text, and the templates are meant to be adapted. It applies after a complex task with several files, a new feature or an architecture change, after a failure or a moment that proved harder than expected, and when reviewing what has been learned over a period. It excludes trivial changes unless debugging, rework, rollback or a non-obvious decision was involved. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.…
