Description
jira is an agent skill from the davila7 claude-code-templates collection, listed on skills.sh. It lets a user work with Jira issues in plain language, so they can mention an issue such as PROJ-123, ask about tickets, create, view or update issues, or check sprint status. The skill supports more than one way of reaching Jira. It first looks for the jira command-line tool on the machine, and if that is found it uses the CLI backend. If there is no CLI, it looks for Atlassian MCP tools in the session, and if they are available it uses the MCP backend. The detection step runs before anything else, so the agent knows which route to take. The skill is for developers, project managers and team leads who keep their work in Jira and want to manage tickets from inside an agent session without switching to the web interface for routine updates.…
