JSONView FAQ

What is JSONView?

Firefox has a built in JSON viewer, but it didn't always. JSONView was built to display JSON documents in an easy to read format, which is still nice if you don't like the default viewer. The document is formatted, highlighted, and arrays and objects can be collapsed. Even if the JSON document contains errors, JSONView will still show the raw text.

Is JSONView free?

Yes. JSONView is free to use.

Do I need to download JSONView?

No. JSONView runs in your browser at jsonview.com, so there's nothing to install.

Who makes JSONView?

JSONView is made by Ben Hollis.

What are the best JSONView alternatives?

Popular alternatives to JSONView include Angular DevTools, Apollo Client Devtools and Clockwork. See all JSONView alternatives
