Local SEO is an agent skill for working out why a business does or does not appear in Google Maps and the local results near its customers, and for deciding what to fix first. It audits a Google Business Profile, compares it with local competitors, and maps Maps visibility around a location. The skill is for rankings that depend on a physical location or service area. For national organic search work, the skill points you to the competitor analysis or keyword research skills instead. To run an audit, the skill needs the business name, or better, its Google CID or place ID, plus its latitude and longitude. It can get the coordinates from a local business search result, and it asks you only when that derivation is ambiguous. It also needs one to three keywords that customers actually type, such as an emergency plumber, rather than the brand name. The skill uses the project-context tools shared with the OpenSEO app and other agents. It is published by every-app on skills.sh under the open-seo repository, and the skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub: Pass, Socket: Pass and Snyk: Warn.
