nuza

Nuza is a simple, lightweight Markdown note-taking app for people who want a fast, focused alternative to apps like Obsidian. It is built for developers, writers, students, and anyone who prefers owning their notes as plain files rather than keeping them locked inside a proprietary database. Your notes stay local, portable, and readable anywhere. Nuza comes with Vim keybindings built in, along with wiki-links, backlinks, full-text search, frontmatter properties, code highlighting, tables, images, and more. It supports macOS, Windows, and Linux and is completely free and open source. The goal is not to build another productivity suite with hundreds of features. Nuza focuses on making Markdown notes feel fast, native, and distraction-free while giving you full control over your files.
