Description
polyglot-test-agent is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection that generates unit tests for any programming language through a coordinated multi-agent pipeline. The pipeline runs in three stages: a researcher analyzes the codebase, a planner produces a phased test strategy, and an implementer writes the tests and validates them phase by phase. The aim is tests that compile and pass, rather than tests that look plausible. The skill is used to generate tests for a whole project or for specific files, to raise coverage in an existing codebase, to create test files that follow the project's conventions, and to add tests for new features or code that has none. Because the implementer runs and checks the tests, the pipeline can catch its own mistakes before they are reported. It is useful for teams with untested code in several languages, or for anyone who wants a baseline of tests quickly. Generated tests check the behavior the code has today, which may include bugs, so a test that passes should be read for whether the expected result is actually correct. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 8.4K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.…
