Reframe FAQ

What is Reframe?

Show Me The Key displays your keystrokes on screen for screencasts, presentations and tutorials. It reads events through libinput, so it works on both Wayland and X11 (unlike screenkey, which is X11-only). Because reading /dev/input requires privilege, this snap uses polkit for authorisation.

Is Reframe free?

Yes. Reframe is free to use.

Do I need to download Reframe?

No. Reframe runs in your browser at reframe.alynx.one, so there's nothing to install.

Who makes Reframe?

Reframe is made by AlynxZhou.

What are the best Reframe alternatives?

Popular alternatives to Reframe include TightVNC, EasyConnect and Podman. See all Reframe alternatives
