runbook
Create or update an operational runbook for a recurring task or procedure
by anthropicsFree
Description
Runbook is an agent skill that writes a step-by-step operational runbook for a recurring task or procedure. A runbook is the document an on-call engineer or operations person follows to run something the same way each time, so the skill sets out the fields such a document needs: the task name, its owner, how often it runs, when it was last updated and when it was last run, followed by the steps. You can document a new procedure from scratch or update an existing runbook when a step changes. The skill is useful when a task is currently done from memory and should be handed to someone else, or when a process needs to be followed reliably under pressure. You start it with /runbook followed by the name of the task. It is part of Anthropic's knowledge-work plugins and draws on that plugin's operations connector guide.…
