Description
swift-concurrency-6-2 is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It covers adopting the concurrency model of Swift 6.2, called Approachable Concurrency, in which code runs single-threaded by default and any concurrency is introduced on purpose. The skill explains the problem it addresses: in Swift 6.1 and earlier, async functions could be moved to background threads implicitly, which caused data-race errors even in code that looked safe. In 6.2, background offloading is explicit, using the @concurrent attribute for CPU-heavy work, and main-actor types can have isolated protocol conformances. The skill applies when migrating Swift 5.x, 6.0 or 6.1 projects to 6.2, resolving data-race compiler errors, designing a MainActor-based app, moving heavy work off the main thread, and enabling the Approachable Concurrency build settings in Xcode 26. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.…

swift-concurrency-6-2 FAQ
What does the swift-concurrency-6-2 skill do?
It guides an agent in adopting Swift 6.2's concurrency model, fixing data-race errors and moving work off the main actor where needed.
What changed from Swift 6.1?
The skill says async functions were implicitly moved to background threads before 6.2. In 6.2, code is single-threaded by default and offloading is explicit.
Which Xcode version does it mention?
Xcode 26, for the Approachable Concurrency build settings.
How do I install it?
Run: npx skills add https://github.com/affaan-m/ecc --skill swift-concurrency-6-2
Is it free?
Yes. It is free and open source.
Are there security findings?
The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.
What are the best swift-concurrency-6-2 alternatives?
