Description
web-research is an agent skill from the langchain-ai deepagents project, listed on skills.sh. It searches several web sources, synthesises the findings and produces a research report with citations, using delegated subagents. The process begins with a plan. The agent creates a dedicated research folder for the work, so that files do not clutter the working directory, then breaks the question into distinct subtopics that do not overlap, and saves the plan before it delegates anything. Subagents then research each subtopic and save their findings, and the agent synthesises them into a cited report. The skill is for analysts, students and developers who need a sourced overview of a topic, rather than a single answer from the model.
