Description
Notchling is a macOS app that turns your MacBook’s notch into a home for a tiny animated pet. Your companion follows your cursor and reacts to everyday events like charging, playing music, taking screenshots, and switching apps. It has its own personality, moods, and needs—you can feed it, play with it, dress it up, decorate its room, and watch it grow. You can also hatch eggs to collect new pets. Alongside pet care, Notchling includes focus sessions that earn coins and experience, reminders to drink water and take breaks, Spotify and Apple Music controls, and a shelf for temporarily holding files. It combines a virtual pet with useful everyday tools, bringing a little company and playfulness to time spent at your Mac.…

From the maker
Alexander@lynetalexanderI built Notchling because I was tired of my MacBook feeling a little boring. The notch was always there, taking up space without giving much back, so I thought: why not give it a little life? That idea became a tiny pet that lives beside the notch, reacts to what you’re doing, and keeps you company while you work. You can care for it, watch it grow, and make its little room your own. I added useful things too, like focus sessions, music controls, and break reminders. Mostly, I wanted my Mac to feel more personal—a little less like a tool, and a little more like somewhere I enjoy spending time.
