About ai-prompt-engineering-safety-review

ai-prompt-engineering-safety-review
Comprehensive safety analysis and improvement framework for AI prompts
ai-prompt-engineering-safety-review is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection for reviewing and improving AI prompts, with a focus on safety, bias, security and effectiveness. It evaluates a prompt across eight dimensions: safety, bias detection, security, effectiveness, compliance with prompt engineering best practices, pattern analysis, technical robustness and performance optimization. The safety assessment asks specific questions about the output a prompt could produce, such as whether it could generate harmful content, promote violence or hate, spread misinformation, or encourage illegal activity or personal harm. The bias review looks at whether the prompt assumes or favors particular groups, and the security review looks for ways the prompt could be manipulated, for example through injected instructions in its inputs. The effectiveness and robustness reviews check whether the prompt will produce a useful, consistent answer across varied inputs. The result is a set of findings with recommendations, meant to educate the author as well as fix the prompt, and the skill favors changes that keep the prompt effective while reducing risk. It applies when a team is writing or reviewing prompts for a product or internal tool, before a prompt is deployed, or when a prompt has produced an unwanted output. A review is only as good as the scenarios tested, so the team should also try the prompt against realistic and adversarial inputs. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 10.3K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
