amCharts 5 is a JavaScript and TypeScript charting library for building charts and maps in web applications. It covers XY, pie, map, stock, Gantt, hierarchy, flow, radar and timeline charts, with more than 60 chart types in total, and it can draw on canvas for speed or as SVG. Charts come with built-in legends, zoom, tooltips, scrollbars and responsive layouts, and they animate their changes. The library includes interactive geo maps and globes, stock charts with financial indicators and drawing tools, and Gantt charts for project timelines and dependencies. It works with React, and the site says the library is free to use, including for commercial projects. The site also hosts free online tools: a Chart Maker that builds interactive charts and maps from templates, an SVG Map Generator for any region and projection, a Pixel Map Generator for dotted maps, and a collection of 427 ready-made SVG maps. The amCharts team publishes an amCharts 5 skill on GitHub for AI coding assistants, and the library's documentation and demos are on the site.
