About animate

animate
Strategic animation and micro-interaction enhancement for improved usability
animate is an agent skill from the impeccable design project that reviews a feature and adds purposeful animation and micro-interactions. The aim is to improve usability and delight, not to decorate. The skill begins by finding the places where motion would help: static areas, actions that give no visual feedback such as a button click or a form submission, abrupt transitions like show and hide, page loads and route changes, spatial or hierarchical relationships that are unclear, interactions that work but feel joyless, and moments where motion could direct attention or explain behavior. It groups its proposals by type, feedback, transitions, entrance effects and delight moments, and it requires support for prefers-reduced-motion so that people who ask for less motion are not affected. Performance limits are part of the context the skill gathers before it works. It requires the /impeccable skill, which holds the design principles and the Context Gathering Protocol, and if no design context exists it tells the user to run /impeccable teach first. It is useful for product teams that want their interface to feel responsive without adding motion for its own sake. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/pbakaus/impeccable --skill animate. On skills.sh it passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk.
