About argent-device-interact

A

argent-device-interact

Interact with an iOS simulator, Android emulator, or Chromium

argent-device-interact is an agent skill for interacting with an iOS simulator, an Android emulator or a Chromium app using the argent MCP tools. It provides one unified set of tool names for all three platforms. Tools such as tapping, gestures, describing the screen, taking screenshots and typing accept a device identifier, and the tool dispatches to the right platform based on the shape of that identifier: a UUID means an iOS simulator, a chromium-cdp value means a Chromium app that exposes a Chrome DevTools Protocol endpoint, and anything else is treated as an Android device serial. Chromium apps include Electron apps and Chromium-family browsers, and scrolling, tabs, cookies and storage behave differently there, so the skill tells the agent to read a separate reference before driving one. Before starting, the agent should list the devices, prefer a ready one, and boot one if needed, and it should load the schemas of the gesture tools with ToolSearch before calling them, because parameters can be coerced to strings otherwise. Setup for the simulator and emulator is covered by separate skills. The skill is installed with npx skills add https://github.com/software-mansion/argent --skill argent-device-interact.
