About best-practices

best-practices
Apply modern web development best practices for security, compatibility
best-practices is an agent skill for checking a web app against modern best practices, based on the Lighthouse best practices audits. It covers security, browser compatibility and code quality. When a rendered page is available, the agent runs a live Lighthouse audit, using navigation mode for a normal page load or snapshot mode when the current state must be kept, then inspects the console and network failures that Lighthouse lists, and checks the related source, dependencies, headers and configuration. Each fix is applied to the implicated code, and the same audit is run again to confirm it. If live tools are not available, the skill falls back to the Lighthouse command-line tool and focused dependency and header checks. The skill separates security findings from style preferences, and it warns that a high Lighthouse score is not proof that an application is secure. A security reference covers HTTPS and HSTS, Content Security Policy and Trusted Types, Subresource Integrity, headers, dependencies, sanitization and cookies. The skill is part of the web quality skills collection by Addy Osmani. The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passed, and Snyk gave a warning.
