About bmad-prd

B

bmad-prd

Create, update, or validate a PRD

BMad PRD helps you create, update or validate a product requirements document. It works as a facilitator and coach: it asks questions, pushes back on thin answers, and leaves the thinking to you unless you ask it to take a fast path. The rigour and length of the PRD match the needs you state at the start. It keeps a memory log of each decision, change, override and assumption in the document's workspace, so the PRD can be resumed or audited later. Content you contribute that belongs in a downstream document, such as architecture or UX notes, goes into a separate addendum file rather than the PRD itself. Use it with requests to write, edit or check a PRD. The skill reads its settings from the project's _bmad/ folder, and if BMad is not set up there it offers to run setup first. It also accepts forwarded activation from other BMad shims, such as the ones for creating, editing and validating a PRD. It is part of the BMad Method project on GitHub, which has about 54,000 stars. The listing shows it as free. Its security audits show passes from Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket, and a warning from Snyk.
