About bmad-preview-ticketing

bmad-preview-ticketing

Create and manage tickets at every level

bmad-preview-ticketing is an agent skill from the BMad Method project that creates and manages tickets at every level of a piece of work. It can slice an initiative into epics, break an epic into stories, write or refine a single ticket, and run the board, including publishing tickets. The skill acts as a facilitator. It helps the user turn an intent, such as an idea, a brief, a product requirements document or an intent file, into tickets a coding agent can build from. The user decides the scope and the split, and the skill proposes boundaries, explains the trade-offs and checks coverage. At each level above the leaf, the intent becomes a container ticket that serves as the spec at that level, holding stable requirement identifiers drawn from the source and informed by any existing architecture or design material. Its children are then cut from those requirements. When the user asks the skill to do the thinking, it investigates and reviews its own work before it presents the result, and it keeps assumptions and open questions visible. The skill is useful for product and engineering leads who want backlog items that are precise enough for an implementing agent to act on without guessing. The result is only as good as the source material, so review the proposed tickets for missing requirements before they are published. The skill passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk on skills.sh, and it has about 1,600 installs.
