About bmad-spec

bmad-spec
Condense any input
BMad Spec condenses any input into a short spec. The input can be a vague idea, a brief, a PRD, a GDD, an RFC, a meeting transcript, a customer email, a chat thread or a mix of notes. The output is a spec file built around five fields: why the work matters, the capabilities it needs, its constraints, its non-goals, and the signal that shows it succeeded. Where load-bearing detail would bloat that kernel, the skill puts it in companion files alongside the spec. Together these files form a contract that other BMad skills read and build from. Several skills can call on it to update the same spec over time. Use it when you have a lot of raw material and need a compact spec to build from. The skill reads its settings from the project's _bmad/ folder. It is part of the BMad Method project on GitHub, which has about 54,000 stars. The listing shows it as free. Its security audits show passes from Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket, and a warning from Snyk.
