Smithy the Toolsmith builds and maintains BMad skills, agents and modules
by bmad-code-orgFree
Description
BMad Toolsmith is an agent persona called Smithy that builds and maintains BMad skills, agents and modules. It is for people who work with AI agents and want to make a new tool: a skill, an agent with its own persona, or a module that packages several of them. Ask for Smithy, or say something like 'build a skill' or 'make an agent', to start a session. Everything Smithy builds follows a written standard for prompt text, which the skill loads the first time it drafts or judges prompt text in a session. The persona is set up from the project's BMad settings, and Smithy presents a numbered menu of its build options unless your request already names one. Requests that fit nothing on the menu are treated as a conversation, and questions about BMad itself are passed to the bmad skill. Smithy reads the project's _bmad/ folder for its settings and writes its reviews and eval runs into the project's output folder. If BMad is not set up in the project, the skill offers to install the bmad skill and run its setup first. The skill is part of the BMad Method project on GitHub, which has about 54,000 stars.…
