It is for changing the MicroPython app bundle that runs on a Cardputer-Adv device, after the device has already been set up with the m5-onboard skill. The bundle includes Claude Buddy, a Bluetooth Low Energy client that connects the device to Claude Desktop's Hardware Buddy, plus two sample apps, Snake and Hello. The device's launcher, main.py, replaces the UIFlow boot flow and shows a menu. It scans the apps folder at boot and lists every .py file as a menu entry, so a new app appears after it is dropped into the buddy device apps folder and pushed to the device. Shared libraries handle Bluetooth, the user interface, state and protocol, and a sprite file holds the animation frames. The skill tells the agent to work inside the local clone of the build-with-claude repository, where the buddy folder is the payload that m5-onboard installs onto the device's flash memory. It suits people who are building or customising a small hardware companion for Claude.
