About career-ops

C

career-ops

Job-search skill collection for JD evaluation, ATS resumes, portal scans

career-ops is an open-source AI job-search agent that runs locally, inside the AI command-line tool you already use. You paste in a job posting, and it checks whether the role still appears open and scores how well it fits your background on a scale from 1 to 5 against your CV, so you can decide whether to apply before you spend the time. For roles worth pursuing, it tailors your CV for applicant tracking systems, drafts a cover letter and prepares interview answers, and it fills in application forms for you, leaving the final submit to you. A tracker keeps the record of each application. The project was built by its creator after many months of applications that went unanswered, and the README says it was used through a search that produced interviews and an offer. It supports many languages in its interface. It is free for candidates, and the project is open source, with sponsors identified as such. The README says sponsorship buys clearly labeled visibility and does not change the roadmap or place anything in the product. Because it works with your personal CV and contact details, keep your data on your own machine and review each application before you submit it.
