About cmux-markdown

C

cmux-markdown

Open markdown files in a formatted viewer panel with live reload

Cmux-markdown opens a Markdown file in a formatted viewer panel inside cmux, next to your terminal, and keeps the panel up to date as the file changes on disk. It is useful for showing agent plans and task lists, documentation, changelogs, or notes that another process is writing bit by bit, so that you can read them while you work in the terminal. You open a file with the cmux markdown open command, and you can name a workspace, a surface or a window to choose where the panel goes. Relative paths resolve against the folder the command is run from, and a leading tilde expands to your home folder, with the absolute path returned in the output. The skill gives a workflow for agents: write the full plan file first and open it, so the panel never shows a half-written file, then overwrite or append freely, since each write re-renders the panel. Atomic saves from editors and tools such as sed -i and VS Code are handled. The skill is listed on skills.sh as part of the cmux project by manaflow-ai.
