About cmux-workspace

C

cmux-workspace

Work inside the current cmux workspace and terminal

Cmux-workspace keeps an agent's actions inside the cmux workspace that started it. cmux has four layers of place: a window is the macOS window, a workspace is a sidebar entry that the interface calls a tab, a pane is a split region inside a workspace, and a surface is a tab inside a pane, which can be a terminal or a browser. The skill's default rule is to act on the caller's workspace unless you explicitly ask for another workspace, window or global state. It warns that the visually focused workspace is not always the right target, because an agent can run in one workspace while you are looking at another. To find its place, the skill reads the workspace, surface and socket environment values that cmux sets for the calling process, and it runs cmux identify with JSON output. It prefers the command-line surface commands over the internal panel types. The skill is listed on skills.sh as part of the cmux project by manaflow-ai, and it is aimed at agents that run inside cmux.
