About cohort-analysis

C

cohort-analysis

Perform cohort analysis on user engagement data

cohort-analysis is an agent skill that analyzes user engagement data by cohort, to show how retention, feature adoption and engagement change over time for groups of users who started together. It starts by reading and validating your data, accepting CSV, Excel or JSON files that contain cohort information. It checks that the cohort identifier, the time periods and the engagement metrics are present, looks for missing values and quality problems, and summarizes the cohort sizes and date ranges. It then generates the quantitative analysis, calculating retention curves and cohort trends, and segment-level insights. The skill also recommends qualitative research to follow up on what the numbers show. It is useful when you want to know whether users stay, which features they adopt and whether newer cohorts behave better than older ones. It is aimed at product managers and analysts who work with usage data. The skill is part of the pm-skills collection by phuryn and is listed on skills.sh as free.
