Framework for building competitive landscape decks

competitive-analysis is an agent skill from the anthropics/financial-services collection that builds a competitive landscape deck, covering market positioning, competitor deep-dives, comparative analysis and strategic synthesis. It is a two-phase process. The first phase scopes the analysis, and the skill asks what the user actually wants before any research begins, because a twenty-slide peer benchmark and a five-slide market map are both called competitive analysis but have different shapes. Questions are gathered together where possible, and the outline is approved before the second phase builds the slides. The skill works in two environments, in a PowerPoint add-in where the deck is open and slides are built into it directly, and in chat where it generates a .pptx file or builds into one the user uploaded. It is useful for strategy, product and deal teams preparing a competitive view for a discussion. Competitor facts change, and the figures in the deck should be sourced and dated, with the sources checked before the deck is shared outside the team. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the anthropics/financial-services repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 2.3K installs, with Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passing and Snyk showing a warning at the time of the scan.
