About competitor-profiling

competitor-profiling
Comprehensive competitor analysis from URLs, combining site scraping
competitor-profiling is a marketing agent skill from the marketingskills collection that produces structured competitor profiles from a list of competitor URLs. It combines live scraping of key pages, such as the homepage, pricing, features, about, customers and integrations, with SEO and market data. From those sources it extracts positioning, messaging, pricing tiers and signals about the direction of the product. The skill has two depth levels. A quick scan records the key facts, and a deep profile does the full research. Before profiling, it confirms the competitor URLs, your product if it is not already in the product context, the depth you want and any focus areas, such as pricing, positioning, search strength or content strategy. If the product context is already available and you give URLs, it proceeds without asking more. The result is a set of profile documents that can be compared side by side, which helps a marketing team see where it wins, where it loses and how rivals are moving. Scraped pages and data are only a snapshot, so re-profile competitors periodically, and treat pricing details as they appeared on the day of the scan. The skill passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk on skills.sh, and Snyk shows a warning. It has about 89,100 installs. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill competitor-profiling.
