convex-optimize
Audit and optimize an existing Convex app: security, scale, upgrades
by get-convexFree
Description
convex-optimize is an agent skill for auditing and improving an existing Convex app. It is the remediation workflow: it opens with a scored assessment, then acts on the result by upgrading stale components and setting up observability. The assessment itself is handed to a separate launch-readiness skill that produces one scored, de-duplicated set of findings, and convex-optimize's own job is the actions it takes on those findings. It follows a plan, confirm and apply pattern, so the agent proposes changes and waits for approval before applying them. Its workflow starts by detecting the app: it checks for a convex directory, reads the schema, and works out whether the deployment is anonymous or a cloud deployment. The areas it covers are security, scale, upgrades and observability. The skill is part of the get-convex agent-skills repository and is added to a compatible agent with the skills command. Its audits passed with Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk. It suits teams with an app that has grown over time and need a prioritised plan to tighten security and performance, and then want the agent to carry out the approved steps.…

convex-optimize FAQ
What does convex-optimize do?
It audits an existing Convex app and then carries out approved fixes, such as upgrading components and setting up observability.
Does it change code without asking?
No. It follows a plan, confirm and apply pattern, so changes wait for your approval.
Where does the assessment come from?
A separate launch-readiness skill produces the scored, de-duplicated findings that this skill acts on.
What areas does it cover?
Security, scale, upgrades and observability.
How do I install it?
Run: npx skills add https://github.com/get-convex/agent-skills --skill convex-optimize
What security audits has it passed?
Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passed.
