copilotkit-integrations

Wiring an external agent framework

copilotkit-integrations is an agent skill from the CopilotKit project's skills collection, listed on skills.sh. It is for wiring an external agent framework into a CopilotKit app. The frameworks it names include LangGraph, CrewAI, PydanticAI, Mastra, ADK, LlamaIndex, Agno, Strands and Microsoft Agent Framework, along with others. Every integration follows the same pattern, which the skill describes in four parts. The agent framework runs as an HTTP server, usually FastAPI with uvicorn for Python or an Express or Next.js route for JavaScript and TypeScript. An AG-UI adapter translates between the framework's native interface and the AG-UI wire protocol. The CopilotKit runtime, created in a Next.js catch-all API route, connects to the agent through an AG-UI client class and is mounted with the v2 multi-route Hono handler. The React frontend uses hooks such as useAgent, useFrontendTool, useRenderTool and useHumanInTheLoop. The plugin's copilotkit-docs MCP server helps look up framework-specific integration details. It suits developers who already have an agent in one framework and want it to power a CopilotKit interface.
