About coreyhaines31/analytics

C

coreyhaines31/analytics

Set up and audit analytics tracking and measurement pipelines

analytics is a marketing skill from the marketingskills library for setting up, improving and auditing analytics tracking and measurement. It applies when someone asks how to know whether something is working, wants to track conversions or events, or says tracking is not working or events are not firing. Its principles are to track for decisions rather than collect data for its own sake, to start from the questions the team needs answered and work back to the events needed, to use consistent naming, and to keep data quality high. It asks about the business context, the decisions the data will inform, the tracking already in place, the tools in use and any privacy or compliance requirements. Its trigger phrases include Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, Segment, UTM parameters and tracking plans. The skill also tells the agent to compute every total and rate from row-level data with a script or spreadsheet, and to cross-check headline figures a second way instead of estimating them by eye. Attribution models and A/B test measurement are handled by other skills in the library. It is free and MIT-licensed.
