About cpp-coding-standards

C

cpp-coding-standards

C++ coding standards based on the C++ Core Guidelines (isocpp.github.io)

cpp-coding-standards is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It applies coding standards for modern C++ based on the C++ Core Guidelines, targeting C++17, C++20 and C++23. It is used when writing, reviewing or refactoring C++ classes, functions and templates, and it enforces type safety, resource safety, immutability and clarity. The skill also helps with decisions between language features, such as an enum versus an enum class or a raw pointer versus a smart pointer. It is not meant for non-C++ projects, legacy C codebases that cannot use modern features, or embedded and bare-metal code where some guidelines conflict with the hardware, in which case the rules should be adapted selectively. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source.
