About creating-financial-models

creating-financial-models
DCF valuation, sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo and scenario planning
creating-financial-models is a custom Claude skill from Anthropic's claude-cookbooks repository. It is a financial modelling suite for investment analysis, valuation and risk assessment. It covers four areas. The first is a discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, which builds models with several growth scenarios, calculates terminal values by perpetuity growth or exit multiple, works out the weighted average cost of capital, and produces enterprise and equity valuations. The second is sensitivity analysis, which tests how key assumptions move the valuation, builds data tables, draws tornado charts to rank drivers and finds break-even points. The third is a Monte Carlo simulation, which runs thousands of scenarios with probability distributions and reports confidence intervals and risk metrics such as value at risk. The fourth is scenario planning, with best, base and worst case scenarios and probability weights. The skill lists the inputs each area needs, such as three to five years of historical statements for a DCF, and the outputs it produces, including a full Excel workbook for the DCF model. It suits analysts who want a structured set of valuation and risk models for an investment decision.
