About @customerio/jist

Cross-platform JSON template renderer — web custom element
Jist is a cross-platform library that renders JSON templates into native user interfaces on the web, iOS and Android. A template describes the structure of a view as a tree of components, the data supplies the content, and a theme controls colors, fonts, spacing and borders. The same three inputs produce the same view on each platform: a web custom element, a SwiftUI view on iOS delivered as a Swift package, and a Jetpack Compose view on Android. Templates carry a version tag, and a renderer that does not support a version skips that template, while unknown components and properties are ignored, so older renderers degrade gracefully. The components include containers such as layout, action and dynamicLayout, which repeats a node for each item in a data array, and leaf nodes such as heading, text, date, button, image and template references. Dark mode is handled with sparse overrides in the theme, so only the colors that change need to be listed. The project is on GitHub, with installation steps for each platform and a worked example of a card with a heading, image, body text and a button.
