About dask

D

dask

Scales pandas, NumPy

dask is an agent skill for scaling pandas, NumPy and custom Python research workflows beyond the memory of one machine, or across a cluster, using Dask. Dask is a Python library for parallel and distributed computing. It offers larger-than-memory execution on one machine, parallel processing across cores, and distributed computation for datasets at terabyte scale across several machines. The skill covers DataFrames, Arrays, Bags, Futures, chunking and related patterns. How far a job can go depends on partition sizes, intermediate data, concurrency, storage and available memory, and the skill takes those into account. The reviewed release is dask and distributed 2026.8.0, reviewed on 30 September 2026. The skill notes that since version 2025.1.0 the expression-based DataFrame API with query planning is the only implementation, so you should not install dask-expr separately or set dataframe.query-planning to False. It includes a quick start and installation guide. It is part of the k-dense-ai scientific agent skills repository on GitHub, which has about 49,600 stars. The listing shows it as free, and it has about 1,900 installs.
