About Datahaven
Datahaven
An EVM compatible Substrate chain, powered by StorageHub and secured by…
DataHaven is a decentralized storage network for applications that need verifiable, production-scale data storage, such as AI training data, machine learning models and Web3 applications. It is an EVM-compatible Substrate chain built on StorageHub and secured by EigenLayer restaking. Storage is separated from verification: providers hold the data off-chain, while cryptographic commitments are anchored on-chain, so tampering can be detected. Files are chunked, hashed into Merkle trees and committed on-chain, and retrieval returns the file with Merkle proofs that the user checks against those commitments. Main Storage Providers serve data for customers, and Backup Storage Providers replicate it across the network according to a bucket's replication policy, facing periodic proof challenges with on-chain slashing for failures. Validators register as EigenLayer operators and are slashed for misbehavior. The chain supports Ethereum smart contracts and tooling through Frontier pallets, and it has a bridge to Ethereum through Snowbridge. The repository is split into contracts, operator, test, deploy and tools folders, each with its own README. Quick start requires Kurtosis, Bun, Docker, Foundry, Rust and Helm.
