About design-critique

design-critique

Structured feedback on usability

design-critique is an agent skill from Anthropic's knowledge-work plugins that gives structured feedback on a design. You share a Figma link, a screenshot or a description, and the skill reviews it across five areas. The first is the first impression, what draws the eye in the first two seconds and whether the purpose is clear at once. The second is usability, whether the user can reach their goal, whether navigation is intuitive, whether interactive elements are obvious and whether steps can be removed. The third is visual hierarchy, including reading order, emphasis and the use of whitespace and typography. The fourth is consistency with the design system, covering spacing, colors and typography and whether similar elements behave alike. The fifth is accessibility, with contrast ratios, touch target sizes, text readability and alternative text for images. The skill is firm about how feedback should be given: be specific, explain why, suggest alternatives, say what works, and match the stage of the design. If a Figma URL is provided, it pulls the design directly and checks components and tokens, and if a design tool or user-feedback source is connected it can cross-reference recent feedback. It suits designers and product teams who want a consistent critique at any stage, from exploration to final polish.
