Description
DfAM check is an agent skill that produces conservative, evidence-backed reports on whether a mesh file is ready for additive manufacturing, meaning 3D printing. It checks a file against the Design for Additive Manufacturing rules for each process it covers: FDM, SLS, SLA or DLP, metal powder bed fusion and MJF. The skill measures the geometry locally, using a script in the project's Python environment, and then compares those measurements against per-process design limits. It never slices a model, uploads it, or starts a print job. The measuring tool is fact-only and reports numbers, while the verdicts are written by the skill's workflow. The skill tells the agent not to estimate wall thickness, overhang angles or support volume by eye or from renders when the tool can measure them. It is useful for designers who want a printability check before they send a file to a slicer or a print service. It is published by earthtojake on skills.sh under the text-to-cad repository, with about 3.3K installs. The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.…

Does it send my file anywhere?
The skill measures geometry locally and says it never uploads, slices or starts print jobs.
Does the measuring tool give a verdict?
No. The tool reports measurements only. The comparison and verdict come from the skill's workflow.
