Description
G-code is an agent skill that slices 3D models into printer-ready G-code using OrcaSlicer, the open-source slicer that has built-in profiles for most FDM printers, including Prusa, Bambu Lab and Creality models. The skill can slice headless from the command line or open the model in the OrcaSlicer app for you to work with. It explains how to install OrcaSlicer on macOS with Homebrew and where its command-line program sits in the application bundle, and it gives the commands for Windows and Linux, where the program is called orca-slicer and can run from an AppImage or Flatpak. The skill is clear about its limits: the agent never contacts a printer. For a Bambu Lab printer, the result is handed to a separate Bambu Labs skill, and for any other printer the skill gives you the .gcode file to send yourself. It is aimed at people who design parts with an agent and want to get them printed without copying files by hand. It is published by earthtojake on skills.sh under the text-to-cad repository, with about 8.7K installs. The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.…
