About dotnet-patterns

dotnet-patterns
Idiomatic C# and .NET patterns, conventions, dependency injection, async/await
dotnet-patterns is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It sets out idiomatic C# and .NET practice for building robust, maintainable applications. Its first principle is immutability: records and init-only properties for data models, with mutability treated as a choice that must be justified. The skill also covers conventions, dependency injection, async and await, and service architecture in ASP.NET Core. It applies when an agent is writing new C# code, reviewing existing code, refactoring a .NET application, or designing services. Because it is a SKILL.md file, the agent loads it only when the task calls for it and then applies the same conventions consistently. Testing is covered by a separate skill in the same collection. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.
