The skill writes correct mxGraph XML, the format draw.io uses internally, so the files open directly in the draw.io VS Code extension without manual repair, and they can also be opened in the draw.io web or desktop app. It is triggered by requests such as creating a diagram, drawing a flowchart, generating an architecture diagram, designing a sequence or UML class diagram, building an entity relationship diagram, or documenting how services interact or what the data model looks like. It covers shape libraries and style settings as well as the structure of the XML. The skill is useful for engineers and architects who want diagrams kept in version control as text rather than made by hand in a drawing tool, and for documentation that needs to be updated along with the system. Generated diagrams are a starting point, and the layout may need tidying by hand, so the author should open each file and check that it shows the intended structure.
