A local Cloud Functions codebase is set up under functions/src for app integration. A publishable npm package exports the functions as a reusable open-source package. The skill's overview says the migration uses native Cloud Functions features, such as declarative configuration, so the result works like ordinary Cloud Functions code rather than an extension. Use it when you want to own the code of an extension you already use, or to republish its logic as your own package. The skill is installed with npx skills from the firebase/agent-skills repository.
